Way back in January I exhibited at The Priesthouse wedding fayre as a preferred supplier.

The bouquets I took also got shown during the catwalk fashion show.

Below are the flowers I designed for the fayre and the show and photos kindly sent by the venue and the photographer.

Laura’s wedding ceremony was held at St Giles Church (The Church that moved) Lincoln.

The pews were dressed with purple/aubergine organza bows with 2 ivory gerberas in the centre, one with an added diamante broach. These were positioned on opposite pews but on alternative rows.

The wedding breakfast was held at Hemswell Court where the tables were dressed with a mixture of high and low designs.

The colours from the bouquets were carried through along with the flowers. The tall designs were martini vases which had a lilac delphinium, red calla lily, purple/lilac roses, carnations and chrysants and white hydrangeas with mixed foliage. These were made in a container which sits in the vase (which I hire) so the display may be given away to guests after the event. The ‘bowl’ part of the vase was filled with purple sisal. The low designs were in glass cubes and included white and purple dendrobium orchids, lilac roses and alstroemeria, and stallion chrysants with mixed foliage.

Laura and her mum came to me from a recommendation from a previous bride.

The colour was aubergine which in flowers was hard to match up so we brought in a range of lilacs and purples to compliment instead.

Laura’s bridal bouquet was a fabulous mix of flowers in a loose cascading design and included calla lily, memory lane roses, purple dendrobium orchids, white cymbidium orchids, white hydrangea and a mix of foliage.

The 13 (yes 13!) adult bridesmaids each carried a hand tie posy of memory lane and avalanche roses with gypsophila and pistachio foliage. The stems were bound in ivory ribbon.

The 3 flower girls each carried a single memory lane rose with its stem bound in ivory ribbon and a cute little single orchid flower was tied around their wrists.

The groomsmen each wore a single ivory rose buttonhole while the 2 pageboys wore a single dendrobium orchid flower with pitto leaves.

The mum’s wore a lapel corsage, one with small ivory roses and purple dendrobium orchids and gyp the other with a green cymbidium orchid with green hydrangea florets and ivory roses.

Sophie came to me through a recommendation from another bride. Her wedding was held at The Assembly Rooms and her colours were red and white.

Sophie chose a very striking mix of Freedom red roses and gyp and fern with a salal foliage collar. The stems were bound in red satin ribbon and held with pearl pins.

The three bridesmaids, who were wearing red dresses, carried a similar style bouquet but with a mix of red and white roses with the gyp, fern and salal collar.

The  bride wore a single red rose in her hair and the bridesmaids a white one. These are attached to a diamante hair grip.

The groom wore a white rose with a sprig of gyp and a few freesia buds while the best man and brides dad wore a red rose with gyp buttonhole. The mum’s both wore a wrist corsage of a white rose, gyp and freesia and other guests wore a single white rose and gyp buttonhole.

I also hired 2 bay trees for either side the ceremony table and red and white roses for tall slim vases for the tables. Unfortunately as the room was turned around I didn’t manage to get any photos.

Last October I was involved in a gorgeous photo shoot at the stunning Woodhall Spa Manor. A new venue in the heart of Woodhall Spa set in fabulous grounds and woodland.

It was organized by Ruth and Hayley of Precision Wedding Consultants with photos taken by Stuart Wilde.

I provided a showr bouquet and hand tie bouquet for the bride,a bridesmaid and flower girl posy and buttonhole for the groom. For venue decoration there was a ceremony table design and another for the mantelpiece behind the ceremony table which was transferred to the entrance fireplace, bottles for either side the fireplace which doubled up for table designs and one of my lovely crystal gem chimney candelabras.

The flowers used were a mix of roses, eustoma, ranunculus, heather, protea, tulips, calla lilies, sedum, hydrangea and a mix of foliages.

If you are getting married you need to see this gorgeous venue and if you require flowers please get in touch to see how we can bring your style and ideas to life.

Emily contacted me to talk about the 5o’s inspired wedding she was planning. She wanted the flowers to tie in with the three different coloured dresses the bridesmaids were wearing. The brides bouquet was to be a mix of coloured flowers while the bridesmaids were to be neutral.

I came up with coral peonies, raspberry roses and blue/purple hydrangea with lavender with sprigs of asparagus fern. The stems were wrapped in pale blue ribbon with white polka dots to match the underskirt of the brides dress.

The three bridesmaids each carried a simple bouquet of gyp with the stems bound in the pale blue and white spotted ribbon.

The flower girl wore a small wrist corsage of hydrangea florets and gyp attached to the same ribbon for tying on her wrist.

The mum’s wore a lapel corsage of flowers from the bridal bouquet. (The green outer guard petals on the peony were removed on delivery. These stop the flowers blooming as quickly)

The groomsmen each wore a small gyp boutonniere with a small bow of the bridal ribbon.

The ceremony was held at St Paul The Apostle Church at Ashby, Scunthorpe. The pew ends here were treated to bunches of gyp and lavender tied with a bow of the bridal ribbon on opposite and alternate pews.

Diane’s wedding ceremony took place at St Nicholas Church at Gunby.

St Nicholas Church Gunby

As it is a small church we decided that decorating the pews was sufficient. We kept the colour and flower theme with large burgundy organza bows with a double gerbera flower centre in pink and orange. These were hung an alternative pews along the aisle.

The wedding breakfast was held in The Old Barn (Now The Wyndham Garden Hotel) at Marston near Grantham.

As there were 6 guest tables Diane had opted for two tables of each colour which we kept to for the flower displays. These were 10″ fish bowls with 3 gerberas floating in and bear grass swirls, this was all sat on a round mirror.

The top table was to be decorated with all the bridal posies and I provided the vases for these to be placed into.

The front of the table was also treated to a runner of gerbera petals in all 3 colours.

I also provided hand ties in water for those all important thank you’s in the speeches.

Diane asked for gerberas for her wedding flowers, which are probably the second most popular flower I use after roses.

This was to be a lovely bright mix in Orange, cerise pink and burgundy blooms.

Diane’s bouquet was a hand tie posy of orange and cerise pink gerberas with burgundy spray roses. A subtle collar of salal foliage gave some support to the gerberas and the sems were bound with burgundy ribbon and held with pink pins.

Kirsty’s wedding was a gorgeous rustic affair at The Barn at Elsham Hall. I was asked to provide the bridal party flowers and thank you bouquets.

The colours were to be quite autumnal despite getting married in June (2014).

For Kirsty’s hand tied posy bouquet I included brown roses, deep orange roses.brown germini, Skimmia berries and foliage and gyp along with corn, various grasses and natural ting ting.

As Kirsty had had her wedding dress made we used off cuts of the material to wrap around the bouquet stems.

The two bridesmaids had a similar style bouquet but with brown and cream flowers, so the orange roses were swapped for cream ones.

The stems were bound in twine to tie in with the rustic feel.

The groomsmen wore gorgeous buttonholes (above) of a single orange rose, skimmia berries and grasses. The stems were bound to match the bridesmaids bouquets with twine.

The ladies each had a corsage to attach to their hand bags of germini, skimmia berries, gyp and grasses and corn.

The 5 thank you’s were all hand tie arrangements in bubbles of water for freshness. These were a mix of the wedding flowers with a few extras and were presented in orange boxes with brown bows.

Kirsty had her bouquet preserved after her wedding and was kind enough to send me a photo. This was sent away to Precious Petals. For more information click on the link.

A few weeks ago I was involved with a photo shoot at a new venue in North Lincolnshire – Ealand Gate.

I am honored to be chosen as one of the preferred suppliers at this new venue to provided wedding flowers for the bridal party and the wedding reception.

This was to showcase what the new venue could look like set up for your wedding and to bring some of the preferred suppliers together.

We kept the flowers neutral with a hint of blush as it is easier to see how another colour might fit in and to blend in with the venue. The main flowers are roses, hydrandgea, ranunculus and sweet peas.

Both the hurricane vases and candlesticks are available to hire from me, Sandra’s Flower Studio.
